The application features tools that enable its users to create easier to read, concise reports with more information per square inch. MicroCharts 3.0 offers the choice of seven chart types including columns, area, lines, win/lose bar, pie and bullet graphs in a word-sized format providing users with more choice and enabling them to creat charts faster than they could in Excel. The charts are font based and fonts can be colored, re-sized, changed and completed charts can be pasted into Word documents. Graphs can be as small as the size of words and elements can be zoomed into quickly.
MicroCharts 3.0 includes its own unique tool feature entitled ‘Sparklines’. Sparklines improve visualization and are data-intense, data-simple; word-sized graphics that enable users to improve visualization when placed in Excel cells, allowing them to locate elements quickly. The interface of MicroCharts 3.0 has been improved for a more intuitive experience and this program provides functions such as Icon Charts to allow users to create effective KPI Icons, and for use with heat maps. Microcharts can be integrated into XLCubed, allowing the creation of OLAP enabled Excel dashboards that can be published to the web. The program has additional options for the handling of missing data, supports configurable toolbars and common scales, as well as many, many other options.
